Robert Y. Corbett Salver

The Salver was played for at Ranfurly Golf Club on the 23rd August 2019 when 12 members were present. An excellent day all round. Local knowledge to the fore!
The winner was Freddie Douglas (35 Points), Second Douglas Martin (33 Points) and third Alex Miller (33 Points). This year’s event has been postponed to 2021.

Queen Elizabeth School Trophy

Queen Elizabeth School Trophy was held at the usual Edinburgh venue of Royal Burgess. Last year’s competition was held on the weekend of the 28-30 September. The pairs representing the Club last year were: On Saturday 28th September, Won 3-0 Old Reptonians, Andy Reid & Alan Murphy, Chris Grant & Stuart Mclean and Fraser Grant & Matthew Hughes. On Sunday 29th September, Lost 2-1 to Old Lorrettonians, Andy Reid & Alan Murphy, Scott Anderson & Matthew Hughes and Ross Douglas & Lewis Fleming. John has a good source of players and reserves to call upon when needed. Even the “oldies”. The match was still well supported with 28 schools from throughout the UK competing for the trophy, which was presented to commemorate the Coronation in 1953. 2019 winners were Merchistonians who defeated Old Lorrettonians in the final. The Queen Elizabeth School Trophy 2020 has been cancelled.
